Forex rebates, is this the real thing?

I've come across several forex rebate websites. I stumbled across the concept of forex rebates, and did some further searching online, this "industry" seems rather large. I did my research and I found that a reputable website is FxRebateGurus.com. There is live chat which I used and asked several question to find out if the person on the other end actually knows about forex and then I asked specific questions regarding how this whole forex rebates website works. I was given a link to this Forex rebates article that explains the concept.

To sum it up basically the rebates work as follows:
1. The trader opens an account using FxRebateGurus affiliate links
2. The forex broker pays a commission to FxRebateGurus for introducing clients.
3. FxRebateGurus gives back some of the money back to the client(they claim they give up to 80% but I can't verify that, however the payouts seem quite large)

I also tried to get more information on several other forex rebate websites, however they didn't have live chat and I couldn't find any information about where they are located or who the owners are. At FxRebateGurus I found they are located in Canada and I was able to see who the owner is. Personally I like to know who I'm working with so that was one of the reasons I thought they are a legit company.
